Christopher R. Martell maintains an independent
practice in Seattle and is
an Associate Clinical Professor of Psychology at the
University of Washington. Dr. Martell is a diplomat in both
clinical psychology and behavioral psychology through the
American Board of Professional Psychology. Dr. Martell
is a Fellow of the American Psychological Association and is a
past president of the Washington State Psychological
Association. He has co-authored three books and many book
chapters and articles on the topics of behavioral activation
therapy for depression, behavioral couples therapy,
and the application of cognitive-behavioral therapies with
gay, lesbian and bisexual clients. Dr. Martell was the 2004
recipient of the Washington State Psychological Association's
Distinguished Psychologist Award.
